An American inspired by the flamenco of his hometown, Santa Fe, New Mexico, travels to Andalusia looking for the essence of flamenco. During his trip he dives into the world of flamenco and is fortunate enough to meet great artists. This trail-blazing documentary features dazzling performances by musicians and dancers, but also gives viewers a sneak peek into the ancient culture of flamenco, and a glimpse into that secret magic adepts call “duende.”

After the screening, the film will be a discussion with Tom Chávez, Ph.D. researcher and historian at the University of New Mexico and former Executive Director of the National Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque.
